Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) is a non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization founded by Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir ul Qadri in 1980. MQI is now operating in more than 100 countries and it focuses on Sufism and spiritual development, human rights, women’s rights, tackling extremism, promoting peace, interfaith dialogue and religious moderation. Currently it has educational and community centers in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, Australia and Africa. Its main offices are in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Barcelona, Oslo, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Dublin, New York City, Toronto, Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) has formally recognized and granted a ‘Special Consultative Status’ to Minhaj-ul-Quran International due to its services in promoting peace, tolerance, interfaith harmony and education, tackling extremism and terrorism, engaging with young Muslims for religious moderation, promoting women’s rights, and providing social welfare and promotion of human rights.
The Minhaj Halal Certification (MHC) is another new venture of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), aimed at providing credible professional services that directly contributes towards the growth and sustenance of the rapidly expanding global HalalHalal products industry, HalalHalal food in particular, capitalizing on its strengths notably a network of functional local and overseas offices, highly qualified (Masters & PhDs in Shariah and technical subjects) and trained manpower, a Halal Research Center and teaching University with dedicated Shariah Institutes/colleges and analytical lab facilities.
MHC has set its core objectives to address the challenges of human resources, professional requirements, research and development, and further innovations in halal food management system requirements. We believe that under the umbrella of Minhaj ul Quran International we have a versatile team of food science and sharia. The academic research in food science technology and sharia sciences is already started in the academia after signing MoUs with some of the great institutions such as Minhaj University and College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences in Lahore. We are looking forward to extend our collaboration in Halal research with other academic and research institutes of Pakistan.

MHC aims to an Institution of Choice by Industry for Halal Certification of different products, including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, recreation, finance, processing facilities and other key areas. MHC envisages to be name that can be synonymous with an assurance for the Muslim or non-Muslim consumers that the Products that are certified by MHC are in line with the set standards and principles of Shariah for the Halal products in the whole world.
